1. Appointment Policy
All grooming appointments must be booked in advance. We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment, or failure to attend, will result in the full charge of the scheduled service. Late arrivals may result in incomplete grooming if time runs out.
2. Health and Safety Requirements
Dogs must be fully vaccinated, wormed, and flea-treated prior to their appointment. Owners must disclose any known allergies, illnesses, injuries, or sensitive areas at the time of booking and drop-off. The salon will conduct health checks and advise accordingly but is not responsible for undiagnosed medical conditions.
3. Grooming Process and Matting
Matted coats can cause skin and health issues, and in severe cases, the only humane option is a short clip or shave down. This process may cause irritation or injury, and extra charges (£5-£20) may apply for matting or additional services such as flea treatment or decontamination. Clipping may result in skin irritation or cuts; the use of restraints and safety equipment is standard to ensure safety.
4. Senior Dogs and Medical Concerns
Grooming may expose or aggravate health issues, especially in senior dogs. Owners should provide full medical information. The salon may recommend veterinary treatment if needed, at the owner’s expense. The owner understands that grooming carries increased risks for older dogs and releases the salon from responsibility for injuries.
5. Pricing and Estimates
Quotes are approximate and may increase depending on the dog’s behaviour, coat condition, or additional services required. Owners are encouraged to be open about their dog’s condition to facilitate accurate scheduling and quotes.
6. Behavior and Safety
Owners must disclose any aggressive behavior or incidents. Dogs displaying aggression that could threaten safety may result in grooming being stopped or refused. Owners are responsible for providing appropriate muzzles if needed. The salon reserves the right to refuse service for safety reasons.
7. Liability and Injury
While every precaution is taken, injury to the groomer or dog can occur, especially if the dog is aggressive. In case of injury resulting in time off work, the owner will be responsible for loss of earnings (£250/day). The salon is not liable for injuries caused by pre-existing health conditions or behavioral issues.
8. Parking and Personal Belongings
Clients assume all risks for their cars and belongings left on the premises. The salon is not responsible for theft or damage.
9. Photography and Marketing
Photos or videos taken during grooming may be used for marketing purposes unless the owner requests otherwise.
10. Additional Charges
Any extra services such as de-matting, extra bathing, or decontamination will incur additional fees. Discovering parasites like fleas or ticks will result in treatment charges.
11. Emergencies and Veterinary Care
If the groomer detects a medical issue or if an emergency arises, veterinary treatment may be requested. Owners agree to cover any associated costs.
12. Miscellaneous
Failure to agree with these Terms & Conditions will result in the cancellation of appointments. Owners are responsible for keeping the salon informed of any relevant behavior or medical issues to ensure safe and appropriate grooming.
